25th Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon

I first climbed Mount Kinabalu in May 2009. Back then yours truly wasn't as fit as now and I remembered the journey up took countless hours just waddling up. And when we got to the peak, it was raining dreadfully with strong winds. So no breaking of dawn sighted unfortunately. What's left was the picture above in freezing temperatures.

2 years down the road, I am now ready to attempt running up Kinabalu. This will be the last year for this climbathon and beginning next year, the format has changed to one that's generally akin to trail running. No more running up Kinabalu.

That said, I have 3.5 hours to reach Low's Peak, the highest peak there is and another 3 hours down to finish. It's going to be super tough reading through blog experiences of this but hey, am going to give it my best shot and enjoy the journey! Cheapest way to see Mount Kinabalu for RM30! :D

Later peeps!
